Every Green Bay Packers fan worth his/her salt knows St. Vince. Wearing his holy garb, he can be seen in his low-level end-zone seats, along with his cheese-bra wearing wife, “Cheese Louise.” St. Vince has become synonymous with Lambeau Field and is almost as a big a celebrity in Green Bay as the players are.
Before every home game, he is mobbed by Packer fans wanting to take pictures, get autographs and kiss his Super-Bowl ring. St. Vince truly shows the patience of a saint, obliging every request, and blessing fans with his cheerful personality. I am always fascinated by people who take their Packers fandom to a “higher” level, so I just had to get to know a little about this “Paragon of Packers Piety:”
When did you first become a Packers fans and what is the background story behind it? Also, what are your earliest memories of the Packers? Read more... (2082 words + 8 images, estimated 8:20 mins reading time)

Weekly Packers news with a bonus rant, from Al Bracco and Holly Phelps. (As heard on Cheesehead Radio. 7/29/10 )
Al: The Packers made continued progress in the area of player signings this week. With Mike Neal agreeing to a 4-year contract and Atari Bigby finally signing his tender offer, the Packers are only a Bryan Bulaga signature away from having every player ready for camp. Bulaga has indicated that he plans to be in camp on time, but then again, so did BJ Raji last year. This one feels different, however. Bulaga was not as high a pick as Raji was and Dez Bryant, the player selected right after Bulaga is under contract, so there’s little else to wait for. All the pieces are in place and I believe as soon as the Packers put this shareholders meeting day behind them, Bulaga will be signed on Friday or Saturday. That would be like going back in time – first day of training camp and nobody’s holding out. Read more... (1594 words + 7 images, estimated 6:23 mins reading time)

From time to time, I plan to bring you stories about some special Green Bay Packers fans and how their lives have been affected by their love of the Green and Gold. I’ve always been fascinated by people’s personal Packers stories. Special moments, Packer memories, childhood influences, they can be anything, as long as the Green Bay Packers are a big part of it.
The other day, I happened to mention on twitter that I had been to a wedding reception where the bride and groom were introduced to the FOX NFL Football theme. I thought that was pretty cool until Adam Czech tweeted me back about his own experience. I encouraged him to write about it in more detail, and here it is…
Adam Czech:
You know those E-Harmony commercials on TV? Where the man and the woman stare lovingingly into each other’s eyes while explaining how E-Harmony helped them find their ideal mate? My wife and I would be perfect for one of those spots. Read more... (1360 words + 6 images, estimated 5:26 mins reading time)

Weekly Packers news with a twist, from Al Bracco and Holly Phelps. (As heard on Cheesehead radio. 7/16/10 -7/22/10)
Al: Well, the big news of the week, of course was Johnny Jolly being suspended for at least the 2010 season. The surprising part was that the suspension had nothing to do with his upcoming trial. According to an NFL Network report, Jolly was not suspended for a violation of the personal conduct policy, so the suspension likely is due to failed drug tests. That’s just amazing: failing drug tests while you’re facing felony drug charges. I’m done. It’s time to turn the page on the Jolly Rancher.
Holly: In a bit of good news, another Green Bay Packer draft choice is in the fold. The Packers signed their third round pick, Morgan Burnett to a four-year contract. According to a league source, the deal has a base value of $2.665 million dollars.with a signing bonus of $875,100. A fourth-year escalator can increase the deal’s total value to $3.398 million. When asked what he was going to buy with the signing bonus, Burnett responded, “I really don’t know. I’m just going to try my best to save my money”. That’s about the best thing I’ve heard all week.
